About Manning Family Children's

​

Manning Family Children's is Louisiana's only full-service hospital exclusively for children, offering a full range of inpatient and outpatient care. A not-for-profit facility, it is governed by an independent board of trustees made up of community volunteers. The hospital has no stockholders and no dividends to pay. Revenue generated by the hospital is used to operate the hospital and to expand and advance services.

Critical care is provided in the hospital's 25-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, the 21-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and an 8-bed Spinal Unit. The hospital's Emergency Care Center, one of the area's busiest emergency rooms, is staffed around the clock by board-certified pediatricians, with the availability of a full range of pediatric subspecialists. Outpatient appointments with pediatric subspecialists are offered Monday through Friday on the hospital campus at the Ambulatory Care Center and at the hospital's satellite location,

The Metairie Center. Outpatient care is also offered in psychology, and physical, occupational, respiratory and speech and hearing therapies, and through various other specialized programs. The hospital is also the home of The Parenting Center – the area's first and leading education and support outreach program for parents.
